Valencia almonds are characterised by their long, flat shape and naturally sweet taste. This is why we are partial towards their use in the dessert kitchen.
The Valencia almond is largely used in ice-cream, nougat, muffins, rice puddings, Christmas confectionaries and marzipan. They can also be relished right out of the bag. Sprinkle some on oatmeal, granola or yoghurt for an extra healthy breakfast – with some fresh or dried fruit and berries. Or toss them in a bag with some salt, a drop of oil and maybe a spice for a quick snack.
