The NaCl salt series comprises of the finest salt flakes obtained from underground sources in Alicante, Spain, from where salt has been harvested since the Middle Ages.

Saltmakers from Salina de la Fortuna are inspired by its natural scenic surroundings and infuse Mill & Mortar’s salt flakes with varying flavours like red wine from the neighbouring wine regions, multicoloured sequins of seaweed, and natural citrus oil and lemon thyme.

La Fortuna also has its own smoking furnace where the salt is smoked over Spanish oak. In our NaCl finishing salt series, you will also find a beautiful black salt coloured by activated carbon and a natural pyramid-shaped salt.
